Well, nice question… Who am I? I'm not quite sure…
But…
I am an enthusiastic Instructional Designer with a passion for learning and education. I started out as a school teacher, but I missed the design aspect and the fun of animation.
Early in life, I studied film, media, and animation, graduating with a bachelor’s in digital communication, where I discovered a love for writing short stories. I even created a few animation pieces in college. In hindsight, I’m glad I lost those works – the quality was lacking, but the storylines were great.
I grew up in the tech world, fascinated by the history and start-up culture of Silicon Valley. This is where my sense of humor developed, blending office-like and tech-inspired humor into some of my stories.
As the "weird girl" growing up, I had a fondness for the strange and unusual, diving into conspiracy theories, folklore, and mysteries. These days, I find myself giggling at some of the more outlandish conspiracy theories.
Only recently did I discover that my “weirdness” might be due to undiagnosed ASD – which explains a lot! I still love my quirky side and enjoy seeking out the strange, often sharing a funny conspiracy theory or two.
I have a soft spot for offbeat TV shows and movies, loving the hunt for obscure series and those with cult-like followings. A few friends and I even started podcasting about the movies we love. I also secretly enjoy action films and overly serious B-movies with bad writing.
These days, I indulge my nerdy side with games like Dungeons and Dragons (finally understanding some math!) and listening to audiobooks. I’m also working on my new podcast, Learning and Development, an ongoing series written as a show.
Feel free to ask me any questions if you’d like to know more about me…
